  • Boat: Libations Too, 32-foot Pearson; Boat Captain: Andreas von Flotow
  • Member of 2 person crew from San Francisco, CA → Puntarenas, Costa Rica → San
    Carlos, Mexico (November 2016 – March 2017)
  • Managed as a liveaboard in Seattle; Weekend sailing trips around the Puget Sound
    (March 2017 – September 2017)
  • Sailed through Papagayos and Tehuantepecs with winds gusting to 43 knots (gap
    winds in Costa Rica and Mexico)
  • Longest passage: San Diego, CA to Puerto Vallharta, Mexico (10 days)
  • Job duties included serving as boat medical care provider, cooking, washing dishes,
    life-boat cover repair, bottom cleaning, and night watch crew
  • Learned about whisker poles, trimming sails, various monohull sail configurations, and reading charts
  • Practiced maneuvering of boat through Ballard Locks

TRANS-PACIFIC YACHT DELIVERY (14 DAYS)

  • Boat: Oaxaca, 50-foot Santa Cruz; Boat Captain: Rhys Balmer (July 2017)
  • Member of 6 person crew from Waikiki, HI to San Francisco, CA
  • Assisted in the safe delivery of a Trans-Pacific Race yacht following the 2017 race
  • Assisted in boom repair after it broke 5 days into our passage
  • Served as boat cook, deck hand, night watch crew, dish washer, and entertainer

WEEKLY “DUCK DODGE” RACES IN SEATTLE (SUMMER 2017)

  •  Boat: Thunderorca, 41-foot Tartan; Boat Captain: Scott Kanlyn
  • Member of 5 to 20 person crew for weekly boat race on Lake Union

SEA TRIALS OF A RACING TRIMARAN (2 DAYS)

  • Boat: Quetzal, 30-foot Condor; Boat Captain: John Hulburd
  • Member of a 3 person crew while sailing in San Carlos, Mexico
  • Learned about adjustable backstays, gained experience sailing a multihull, adjusted to minimalist lifestyle aboard a racing trimaran

WASHINGTON-LICENSED RELIEF PHARMACIST (5 YEARS)

  • Led pharmacy teams ranging from 2 – 10 staff, immunization certified, travel medicine trained, temporary pharmacist for Fred Meyer, Rite-Aid, and Costco

DIVEMASTER/UNDERWATER MODEL IN THAILAND (5 MONTHS)

  • Divemaster internship with Princess Divers (Koh Phi Phi, Thailand)
  • Led dive teams ranging from 1 to 6 customers and experience ranging from first time diver to certified instructors
  • Packed and maintained diving equipment for dives
  • Coordinated safety and logistics for underwater photo and video shoots
  • Served as underwater photographer
  • Managed customer education, safety, and satisfaction while on dive boats
  • Taught or assisted in teaching of open water, advanced open water, scuba review, and skin diving courses
